Sreyi is a Safari extension that helps users summarize and translate selected text on webpages. Privacy is a core principle of Sreyi’s design.
Sreyi processes content only when explicitly initiated by the user and does not perform background monitoring, tracking, or data collection.
The extension does not sell data, does not display ads, and does not create user profiles.
- Processing occurs only after a user action
- No automatic page scanning or background access
- Only the selected text is processed
- Selected text may be processed using automated language technologies to generate summaries
- Processing is limited to producing the requested output
- Selected text may be processed using translation services to provide translated content
- Translation does not require user accounts or persistent identifiers
- When using combined features, text may be processed sequentially to complete the requested task
- Selected text is processed temporarily
- Sreyi does not store user content after the request is completed
- No summaries or translations are saved unless the user manually copies them
Sreyi requests only the minimum permissions required to function, specifically to access user-selected text when a feature is activated.
The extension does not read or modify content without explicit user interaction.
All processing is performed using secure communication methods and within the security and sandboxing protections provided by macOS and Safari.
Sreyi is not intended for children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
